Upcoming Overnight Work and Temporary Closures
We are entering the next phase of the Clubhouse Drive Bridge project, which will include overnight work and temporary closures of the bridge. This phase is necessary to complete the steel grid decking and related components that can only be performed during non-traffic hours for safety reasons.
Work Schedule & Impact
Work will begin on Monday 27 October and take place Monday through Thursday nights between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM. take place Monday through Thursday nights between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
During those hours, the bridge will be fully closed to all traffic.
Daytime travel over the bridge will remain open unless otherwise noted.
The project is expected to last approximately four (4) weeks.

Homeowner Action Requested
If you live on the far side of the bridge and may have difficulty making alternate travel or parking arrangements during overnight closures, please notify the WLPOA office immediately so we can assist in planning or connect you with resources.
Update #3 25 September, 2025
Phase 2 - Sandblasting and Priming have been completed. Our structural engineer has also inspected the bridge and took measurements along the steel using ultrasound equipment. The next step is to for them rate the bridge using the measurement values to determine if additional repairs will be required.
Phase 3 - steel grid decking replacement. For
This phase the entire deck of the bridge will be replaced. We are currently awaiting the steel decking which is expected in late October due to delays in production from the provider. We will continue to keep everyone advised to the repair schedule.

We are pleased to inform you that Phase 2 will officially begin today (sandblasting and Painting). This is a critical infrastructure project that will improve the safety and accessibility of our community. As you know, there are several phases to fixing the bridge. During this phase, the bridge will remain open while the work is being done.
Traffic/Safety Notice: Please be mindful of work crews and equipment in the area. Reduced speed or lane restrictions may be necessary at times. We kindly ask that all residents use extra caution when traveling near the work zone.

I’m pleased to share an update on the bridge project:
Phase 1, which included the structural engineer’s survey and design, has been completed.

Phase 2 will begin in the coming weeks and will involve sandblasting and painting. Importantly, this work will not impact the daily use of the bridge, as discussed in our last meeting.
